Great performers--Terrible Crowd

Big Time Rush did everything right. They were amazing performers, were super kind and interactive with the crowd & fans, and kept an upbeat and energizing energy throughout the almost two hours that they were on stage. I was extremely impressed with them. They proved that they are veteran performers, and the quality and professionalism they showed exemplified that. The crowd, however, was not. I've been to many concerts, and I can say that this crowd has got to be one of the rudest. For context, I have been to multiple standing concerts in the past. However at this concert, I was constantly being shoved, to the point that I couldn't even raise my arms as they were squished to my side. At no point did staff try to spread out the crowd or ask them to back up (which is something I've seen done before to elevate the issues around pushing). Being that close to everyone and coupled with how hot the venue was, left me feeling semi-lightheaded to the point that I had to step away from the crowd. This is also out of anyone's control, but the people I was surrounded with were rude as well. I get that the opener isn't who you paid to see but to choose to blatantly ignore them while they were performing in favor of trying to get the attention of one of the BTR members in the balconies, to making fun of the opener's song (which I think was a great performance) is rude and disrespectful. That left a sour taste in my mouth. Overall, amazing performance from both Spencer and BTR. I wish I could have the same positive feelings about the people I was surrounded by.
