Maddox Batson was at his best overall. The venue was good, though the LA crowd was their typical rude selves. Is booze that critical to miss 20 minutes of the show while waiting in line? There was a near steady stream of people coming and going, arriving late to their seats with drinks. The ushers should have kept the latecomers in the wings until a break between songs instead of allowing them to continually traverse in front of the seated audience. Overall, a fantastic show. The 405 was horrendous on Saturday. Even Maddox Batson, who resides in Los Angeles, remarked on how absurd the traffic was to reach the venue. Many older favorites were played, albeit with a slightly different tempo. Sloe Gin was performed a bit too slowly for my liking, but it was wonderful to hear it live. The same goes for "John Henry," another personal favorite. The "all electric" show was definitely worth the investment.
