Seasoned Pros

I'm an old-school thrasher and started listening to Metallica in the mid-80s during the Master Of Puppets / Garage days ep days at the rip old age of 11. So it's pretty obvious where my loyalties lie as to which era of Metallica that I prefer. And I've had a love/hate relationship with the band for years. It's like that family member that you love dearly because they're family, but you regularly shake your head in disapproval at their choices but remain in their corner. However, I do give their latest release two thumbs up for their return to a faster thrasher sound of their early days. These guys are the top of their game, masters of the craft, and seasoned professionals, nd the show in Pittsburgh this past Sunday was perfect example of this and a pummeling show of force. Start to finish, they unleashed a blistering set. I've seen thousands of shows in the past 30 plus years of all genres (partially because I work in music), and this latest show is near the top of that list. I purchased the costly ticket through gritted teeth, and sweated the price, but after what I witnessed Sunday night, I have zero regrets. If you're on the fence about whether or not to fork over the money to see these guys, do yourself a favor and go for it. You won't regret it.
