Brentford Under-18s Eliminated from London Senior Cup
Brentford Under-18s faced a 1-0 defeat against Dulwich Hamlet at Champion Hill Stadium on Tuesday night, resulting in their exit from the London Senior Cup at the second round. The game was marked by a solitary goal in the second half, which proved decisive. Although Brentford had several opportunities to equalize, they were unable to convert their chances into goals.
The first half saw limited quality from Brentford despite some possession in Dulwich's half. Kyrie Pierre posed a challenge for the home defense with his early runs, while Yerime Ouattara and Michael Olakigbe struggled to find the finishing touch. Goalkeeper Marley Tavaziva made a crucial save just before halftime, preventing a potential goal. In the second half, Dulwich took the lead through Ruben Bartlett-Antwi's well-executed finish. Brentford's Domeiro Bobb-Semple came close to leveling the score but hit the post and was later denied by an impressive save from Dulwich's Toby Bull. Despite Brentford's efforts, including a long-range attempt from Anthony Cook that struck the crossbar, they could not find an equalizer, ending their cup run.
