Christopher Cross London Concert reviews
The concert kicked off with Roger Daltry coming out and amusing the crowd, starting perfectly. His incredible voice and professional microphone swinging still impress. They performed many classic WHO tracks, and Simon Townsend, possibly Pete's sibling, joined in to sing "Mobile" with Roger on Harmonica, delivering a flawless performance. The band's remaining members were also fantastic. Some of the tunes had a Doo-Wop vibe, reminiscent of an old-school boy band, but they sounded surprisingly good despite my unfamiliarity with them. When Christopher Cross appeared on stage, the cheers and applause were deafening. While I'm not a huge Christopher Cross fan (please don't hate me), I admire his musical abilities. This concert has given me a newfound appreciation for him. His entire band, including the keyboardists, drummer, guitarist, and backing vocalists, were outstanding. Christopher Cross started with some lively blues numbers before transitioning into several slower tunes like "Wonderful Tonight." They delivered an exceptional rendition of "I shot the Sheriff" and "Badge." He returned for an encore, which was also fantastic. Overall, this was perhaps the most impressive concert I've attended in a while. The only reason I didn't award it 5 stars was the absence of an encore featuring Roger Daltry; had that occurred, I would've given it 10 stars!
