Fun Night - Great Music
I have been a fan of Jinjer for about 6 years now. From the first time I heard them, I wanted to see them live. I arrived early with my wife and caught all the openers. Space of Variations was a great progressive metal band. Really put the energy out while performing good music. I am now a new fan.
Malevolence was good old-school thrash. They put on a good show for their set.
POD did their thing and delivered what you would expect from a band touring and playing together for about 3 decades.
Jinjer hit the stage and you could feel the energy elevate. Tatiana opened up and from there the energy ramped up to 11 for the entire set. Eugene seriously brought in the low end and I was not disappointed. As a bassist, watching and hearing him nail the basslines live was amazing. I follow him on Instagram, and the unassuming music fan he presents himself there explodes into a low end beast on stage. Vlad is a god in the pantheon of drummers. Accurate, hammering away the rhythms and putting in what has to be a marathon run of straight forward and then intricate double bass work. Roman and his fishing hat... Claypool would approve. His playing and sound weresolid. He Wove and flew around the rhythm section while they boosted him on his leads.
All around I am an even bigger fan having seen them live on stage.
